After I graduated with a Journalism degree, I started working on books. By “working on books”, I do not write them, I simply make them look nice.
Whether they’re magazines, journals, or pocket books, I enjoy designing their layouts. I want my books to say “Hi, look at me, I’m a nice one. Read me and you will be happy!” I love to make books look a little different and fresh. Therefore, people can experience things they usually do not, something new.
I learnt later that my job is known as “an editorial designer.” I’m a self-taught one that continues to learn to use relevant tools as I go.
In the past 7 years, I've worked on over 100 books. I’m currently working on books as a full time editorial designer. I’d also love to design other print materials if a friend asks me so. Therefore, I’ve established “fella book design”, because my fellas are the ones who inspire me.
